The Brunnenkopfhütte is a mountain hut belonging to the German Alpine Club (Bergland section). It is situated above the King Ludwig Linderhof Palace in the Ettal Forest / Garmisch-Partenkirchen district in the Ammergau Alps.

Walking time from Linderhof Palace approx. 1.5 hours.

The Brunnenkopfhäuser were former hunting lodges of Wittelsbach King Max II Joseph (1811 – 1864), the father of the fairy tale king Ludwig II (1845 – 1886). He also spent many days here.
